    as above was thinking of getting these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-VAUXHALL-V...d=p3286.c0.m14 are they any good AND will i have to take them out for mots ect. as i have read aftermarket hid's are illegal for road use or are the fine in the veccy????

    For that price you might aswell buy from Mtec one's,think thats right,they're 150 quid and approved trader, here

    but would these pass an mot tho?as i have read aftermarket hid's give of a scattered pattern of light if not focused correctly?

    They are indeed illegal if you're installing them in a h/light unit designed for halogen bulbs, and on a car that doesn't have automatic h/light beam height adjustment and a h/light wash function. However, many MOT centres will pass them and have the opinion that as long as the beam pattern and alignment are correct then they don't care whether its a halogen or HID bulb.

    The scattered pattern is more of an issue with the old style, non-projector lenses.

    yea i thought that because most cars you see with hid have projectors hmmm worth thinking about..suppose i could get them,install them and take it down to a garage a get them checked out if they no good just take them out for the mot? lol thanks guys
