    Default ITG foam air filter

Here's some information for anybody after a foam replacement panel, instead of a K&N panel. I looked at different makers last year and managed to find that ITG (Induction Technology Group) could do a hand made panel filter for my vectra 1.8.
The part number is HMP-346 and cost £39.00 + vat in April last year.
Sizes of the filter are on photos and filter is constructed of 3 different layers of foam.
It compares to sizes for K&N No: 33-2848, but measure your filters and airboxes to see if it suits.
As for performance, I don't expect to see great things with a 1.8, but it seemed to breathe and run better. Made better still by removing bottom airbox pipe.

A much better filter to use instead of the K&N for anyone on here, the K&N is a good high performance filter but does allow fine particles through, especially if not maintained properly, the K&N is really designed for race applications where a rebuild programme is used to replace worn engine internal parts as required. A foam filter of this type provides much better air filtration without restricting intake volumes, however for most the standard filter/airbox combination as it is more than adequate to provide sufficient airflow for any VX engine at the moment, even highly tuned Turbo's.
