rolleyes Sat in the dealer's again...

For the second time in 2 weeks but it's ok because they're sorting out my squeaky seat under warranty apparently it's 2 hours' labour to change the driver's seat frame...

On not such a great note, the ESP warning light has been coming on, seemingly at random, for a while now. When they investigated it last week, apparently there was 'insufficient data' for them to diagnose the problem so their solution was to clear the fault and ask me to bring it back if it happened again. And guess what? Suprise, suprise...

Now, for the life of me I can't reproduce this when I want to, but when it does happen, it seems to happen when I put the handbrake on at traffic lights. So, before they come back and tell me they still have no idea what's wrong, I thought I'd ask the experts - you lot

does it only do it IF you apply the handbrake at traffic lights?..i.e. if you stopped with the footbrake and held it on the footbrake would it come on?

Which dealer did you get your seat changed at, which is the best in our area? Think I need mine doing too as it has started squeaking. Is this a common problem?

Grasmere are very good in my experience. Helpful and quick and Gordon in sales was superb.

The bodyshop is a little pricey however...

Not quoting because i'm on my mobile and it's just too complicated!

GSi3.2 - I really can't say. Being sat with the handbrake on is just the only common factor I can recall, I can't reproduce the fault for love nor money...

About local dealers - I find newcastle and hanley to be equally good. Newcastle are much smaller though and usually have to get any parts from hanley so i just take it there!
Squeaking seats are fairly common, several ppl have mentioned them on here recently.

And i don't know what they were messing about at for 2 hours, but the spanner monkey said something about the frame not being 2 pieces like most... No idea but it sorted the problem!
