    Default Signum Aerial Removal

Has anyone any experience of removing the aerial base on a Signum? Firstly I'm assuming it unbolts from under the roof after moving the roof lining out of the way - correct? If so, is it feasible to do it with just the rear edge of the roof lining pulled down rather than all of it? I've got the set of 5 or 6 storage boxes in the headlining and it'd be easier if I could leave them and that part of the roof lining in place. If this does sound like a goer, does anyone know how to remove the interior trim from the C-pillar to release the roof lining (do the airbags cause issues?), and does the retractable 3rd seatbelt in the roof cause problems?

    Hi thomas,
Answer to your first yes it is possible to remove the arial by just pulling down the rear lining no need to remove the trim around the C pillar and the 3rd seatbelt is not an issue except Remove the cover off 3rd seatbelt housing before you pull the lining down and carefully remove foil edge lining to roof lining in the surround (very thin very easy to distort and then a pig to reallign)
When you pull down the lining fold sellotape over the edge this will stop lining de laminatting while you remove arial .
Arial is held on by 17 mm nut only, but before removing this unclip wiring connector from its fixing in the roof and pull apart bullet connector by lifting tab .
Fitting is the reverse there of .
If your lining delaminates use double sided tape to reshape lining and then place d/sidedtape in between roof and lining to hold in place.

right correction, just went outside but its too dark now, getting 12vdc and 12v live is connected to live on the ariel, i tryed the coaxial into all 3 of the coaxial plugs and only 1 gave any signal at all. its a cack signal, but when i stick a screwdriver into the chopblock connected to the ariel ( not the 12 live ) it gets amazing.....should i just buy a bit of cable and just attach it and leave it above the roof appolstry ?
