    Default vxr spoiler fitting

    hi all got my vxr spoiler on friday thanks to jamie on here the question i want to know is the adhesive strips that are already on the spoiler will they be enough to hold it in place? only asking as thats what the bodyshop think and they just have to heat it up and it will bond on? comments welcome please

    you can try it with the tape alone, but i'd still add some silkaflex to hold it on.. trimtape is good, but not 'that' good...

    Chris it needs to be bonded on mate. Mine came with the bond (Irmscher!)

    you can do, or just add a generous bead of the bonding compound behind the tape and stick it down to 'hold it' with the tape, while the bonding goo dries..

    I just removed the red plastic covering the tape. Then stuck it bond and all onto the boot. Mark the centre of the boot and the centre of the spoiler with pencil on masking tape and then just line them up.

    Then use masking tape to pull it into position.

    cheers mate think ill have to ring him tommorrow and tell him to get some bonding and go down that route
