    Default Avoid ATS For Repairs

for anyone who has an ats near them. avoid as there a bunch of rip off tits. took my vec in to have an exhaust bracket repaired as it has snapped and failed its mot for it. i got a phone call from my wife telling me they said she needed to buy a brand new catalitic converter(prob not spelt right). £300 then labour to add on to that. so i phoned them asking how the **** i need a cat when its jst the bracket that needs welding. he then told me that theres a clip or somthing on the side which he couldnt sorce at the time so told my wife to buy the new cat. cowbow ******s. he got an earfull then welded it the way i asked him to. £10 and it passed the re-sit.

lesson to be learned. never trust them

Bit harsh as my mate works at ATS Corby and hes a top bloke and done loads for me. The other lads there are good too so its a bit harsh to say avoid ATS due to one branch tho. Can see where you are coming from tho as I would be well pi553d off. Maybe shame the branch, where was it?

That's bang out of order, just as well you knew what needed doing. Plenty of people would've have taken their word for it.

What you going to do? Letter of complaint to the manager, or make a complaint to Trading Standards? trading.standards@south-ayrshire.gov.uk for you I'm guessing.

Personally, I think if you don't complain, things don't get sorted, more people get ripped off - the flip side is, if you get good service, then you should be complimenting them, which works wonders!!
