    Default Failed MOT

My Vec failed its first MOT today. It failed on:- Parking brake lever has no reserve travel. The handbrake seems fine to me, and the tester said its just need adjusting, but I thought the handbrake is self adjusting, the garage said they are not self adjusting. What should I do? thanks for any help.

i'd start by resetting the calipers on the rear again.. what they mean is that when the handbrake is on and holding the car, they can't raise the lever any higher..it's a travel issue..

Unreal and to think these people say yah or nah to issuing a pass certificate.

I had a problem with a garage saying my lights weren't bright enough. I said they were xenon and he said bring it back in. He said yep they are bright enough and passed it. I think he only has the side lights on. He tried to cover himself by saying the battery must have been flow.

He was being funny with me on the phone, I think he would say 'you shouldn't have to lift it up'.
