    Default Laser beam idiots

First I've heard of this. Never heard of such stupidity.
    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7641453.stm
Airline pilots getting blinded by people on the ground shining laser beams into the cockpit.
What a waste of space these gits are.

    / rant.

allthough i agree it totally wrong
but these kids must have one hell of a steady hand to get a laser pointer to
go thru the window of a moving aircraft from about 1 mile away.
plus i thought computers landed the planes nowadays.

Some aircraft are fitted with auto-land, but even then it isn't usually used - from what I gather, the pilots generally use it as a last resort in very poor weather or other reasons.
Not really the point though, is it. The pilots don't need this type of nonsense.
A 19 yr was arrested in August for a similar incident.
    Jailed, I hope.
