    Default Permanent live issues

    Hi all,

Got a slight problem with the ignition live.

I have tried swapping red and yellow wires around, that didn't work.

If I, (as someone in another thread mentioned) connect the red and yellow wires together and plug it in to the permanent live it all works OK. but I can't switch the radio off! It stays on when the key is out, even with the face off, it still continues to play whatever you had on. eg. radio, dvd...etc
If I connect the two wires and plug it in to the other live (when you turn the key, it becomes live) where the yellow wire is supposed to go and turn the key nothing!! I really cant understand that, it just doesn't make sense??

I have popped a multi-meter across it the, permanent live has 12.2v and the ignition live when key is turned has 11.5v (is this the problem perhaps)??

The manual says 10.6v to 15v, so can't see it being that...

Any help advise would be greatly appreciated.

Chris Gettings, kindly offered to fit this for me last week, but after looking through the posts and seeing that it was just a matter of connecting the ISO's together, I thought I'd give it a go!!

Hi..Instaled an after market head unit the other day.It all works fine by taking a live feed from the ciggy lighter..I was wondering if it is possible to get the stereo to turn on without having all the dash lights and fan coming on....I own a 57 plate vectra....?????
