Is it flashing or constant? If flashing then you must stop driving it - serious risk of knackering your cat.

I had mine pop on in the past for no apparent reason when I started the car and didn't go out. I simply disconnected the battery to reset it to see if it would come back on again and it never did, so I put it down to a little glitch. It was very cold at the time, so I don't know if the car did a bit of extra fuelling in a splurge that was enough to activate the light.

Maybe worth trying that before booking in/paying for a dealer?

Light is constant, if it is one of the above should this be covered by warranty?

Yep, lamda or cat will be covered unless they can prove/show that you've done anything yourself to knacker the cat.

Hadn't realised it was under warranty - best to throw it back at them and get them to sort it.

That's what I thought thanks. Also had the problem of courtesy car as mentioned on here somewhere before, don't want to give me courtesy car as not brought car from them. But they will collect it instead.

Mine staying on for a few days then went off, plugged it in and no fault code stored. It has never come back on in 4 months.

Thanks Steve, looks like we have the same problem... warning light has now gone off, phoned dealer to cancel collection of car, will keep an eye on it.

    What causes these 'glitches'?
