Default Fed up with changing CD's!

I know this one has come up before, but can anyone recommend a decent audio kit that connects directly to the FM input. I want to get an Ipod but have put it off as I would only use it in the car.
At the moment I am forever changing CD's as mine is a single CD CDR2005. I've heard the 'io play' is quite good but not sure if it has a direct FM connection?
I have tried many FM transmitters in the past which have all been cr*p!

Also considered changing the head unit but reading previous threads this seems a lot of hassle.

Any suggestions...apart from buying a new car?!!!

Buying a new car sounds a bit extreme! How about buying a new stereo for your car instead?

Play your MP3's from CDs or even better, the newer ones can play MP3's from DVDs so you've got plenty of music to work from there without having to swap!

Some have direct inputs for IPods too!

I've recently had an Alpine head unit fitted which is iPod compatible and I have to say, it's fantastic having my entire CD collection in the car all the time. It is a bit of a faff getting it and getting it installed, but the results are great. It sounds much better than the standard head unit and being able to find tracks on the iPod through the head unit is great.

I looked into getting one of those trasmitters, but everyone I know who has one said they were OK at best.

Yes - but he doesn't want a transmitter. You need an FM modulator system. There are many around, including the Harmon Kardon Drive and Play (very cheap from Amazon). Here's my solution - http://forum.vectra-c.com/showthread.php?t=52950

I had an iO-Play fitted about 2 months back and am really pleased with the result. Much better sound than those fm transmitters. Its hardwired into the stereo wiring loom and has a built in amplifier. Would recommend it.

Fit an input to the CDR 2005 and off you go with any generic MP3 player, an fact any sound source you like.

If, like me you don't have DAB radio built in, the Pure Highway adaptor comes with a windscreen-mounted interior aerial and a built-in FM transmitter that is virtually interference-free and has a line-in jack socket for MP3's etc.. About £65 but well worth it. Way, way better than cheapo FM transmitters.

Do a search for IO Connect..... got pointed to me by one of the members on here and they have a cracking set of kit.
