Default Look after your keys, folks.

I've just heard from my wife that the guy she works for came downstairs this morning to find he'd had visitors who'd taken his Boxster, his wife's Astra, his TV, his wife's handbag and his briefcase. He didn't hear a thing.

He had, however, left his keys in the hall on the table by the door. I'll try and get reg numbers so people can keep an eye out.

Take it easy out there, people, I take my keys upstairs every night, and have a small but noisy Tibetan Terrier who sleeps in the hall.

funny thing is tho- I actually dont know if he would just bark at them - or lick them to death lol....

Would be interesting to get a mate to come into the house at night and see what happens if we are all upstairs... I have a feeling that he could be won over in just a few strokes.lol

My sister and her boyfriend once had both their cars stolen, along with her handbag etc, they "removed" the uPVC backdoor while they were sleeping upstairs and the keys were on a sideboard in the living room!

I know 2 people that have lost their cars.

The first was a RS6 avant, his keys were on his bedside table. They broke in and took the keys while he was sleeping, strangely they left the £500 deposit he had taken for a job which was sitting right next to the keys. The sencond was a Mondeo ST, they broke in took the plasma TV off the wall, the PS3 and used the car to take the goods away. The victim is a very deep sleeper.

A neighbour had her golf gti stripped on her driveway. It had grey leather but sitting just down the road was my car with black leather recaro seats.

and I live in a low crime area. It is very difficult these days to steal cars so getting the keys is the obvious solution for the scum. I always leave mine in my jeans pockect, that why I can't lock myself out of the house as well. The girlfriend leaves hers in the work handbag so if you can find them in there you have done well.
