    Default Cooling fan

My commute to work involves a 30 mile motorway journey. Shortly after switching off the cooling fan would come on for a few minutes.

I've noticed in the last week or so that it hasn't been doing this. Is this due to the lower ambient temperatures we've been experiencing recently or has something failed and it should still be coming on?

    Car is a 2.0T.

    Thanks

Weird - I think mine always used to do it after a proper run.

From memory, there are two fans; one for the radiator and one for the air con

The radiator one may stay on after you switch the engine off, but it shouldn't come on again
However, the air con fan should NEVER come on again after you have switched the engine

More than likely one of the relays is nearing failure, I had this before on my Vectra B and eventually the radiator fan stayed on, so I drove the car round to VX and they replaced it before the battery went flat!

The wifes 2.0T SRi does this a lot also, but not the GSi.
