Bsr Stage 3 Map!!

Just had the bsr stage 3 map but the car now suffers with major lag. the car seems to hang about till the turbo kicks in then (a smile from ear to ear) off she goes??? Any one else have this???

from experience of duncan's stage 3, there is certainly no lag.. in fact it's smooth and instantaneous.. foot down , no waiting for the big grin..

I've never had any lag with my 2.0T - be it when standard, Stage 1 or Stage 3. Sounds like there's a problem there somewhere.

Have you got the full BSR kit on it? i.e. is the exhaust the BSR downpipe/sports cat and the BSR/Jetex exhaust system?

Has it all been fitted properly etc.?

It could just be an illusion due to there being much more power, the difference from whatever you were running before to stage 3 is a good hike and you haven't accustomed yourself to it yet maybe.

That wouldn't feel like lag though would it? I know on my Stage 3, and yours must be the same?, that it simply pulls more strongly than before and still through all the rev range.

Genuinely think mine is actually running properly as I've had a few blasts with other cars and it's not let me down, including an RX-7 tonight who smiled and gave the thumb as he went past then I dropped it again and let her go. Not a great idea in the wet with very low tread tyres up front though

when in 5th and 6th sitting at constant speed the map seems to stop working. if you stop and turn off then on works fine then again??

all work done in recomended garages????? i dont have the bsr front downpipe it was done by others. its a 3"pipe into sports cat then the full system back, injectors suplied by bsr and a k&n induction kit
