    Default PSV or MOT

My wee escort van's PSV is due to run out soon.

Its owned by me, and sometime use it in connection with my employment.

Do i need to PSV it, or can i be just MOTd?

PSV is the 'bus or minibus' test. ( at least, it is over here and i don't think the rules differ).. an escort van would just be subjected to a normal 'car' mot..

might be wrong but i think it needs a psv, i had an escort van and always psv`d. think it is different here than GB as any joe bloggs with a garage can do it there and we have strict test centers etc. near sure it needs a psv mate, don`t think you could go in with a 40f lorry and say, "i just use it for taking the missus shopping, give is a car test". its a commercial vechile. do you have commercial insurance on it?

An escort is a car derived van and therefore class 4, normal MOT test
