    Default Caliper modding (question)

Really want to pain my Calipers but have no idea what to do, i had a look at them today and they didnt look too smooth. How did people on here do theirs? i only have a normal jack so im assuming it would take forever to do it

Just clean them best you can with wire brush and some brake cleaner, once dry just give them 2 or 3 coats of hammerite smooth paint, should dry within an hour of painting, good luck.........

I rubbed mine back with a sander using 180 grit removing the majority of the casting marks, degreased using meths, masked, coat of two pack primer. Once dry, applied 3 coats of two pack polyurethane and got a lovely deep shine.

If you're doing at home however, you can't go far wrong with Glenboy's advice. Just make sure you take your time to clean them and remove any crap before you start painting.

They're really easy mate. Hopefully doing mine 2moz if it stays dry.
The Hammerite paint (or proper caliper paint if u use it) will smoothen out the appearance of the calipers. It makes cleaning them a lot easier

as stated above, brake cleaner and lot's of it, wire brush and plenty of elbow grease.....you can also use engine laquer @ about £5 a tin from a local car spare's place and dries realy quick, also heat resistant and avaliable in many colour's.....
