They are generically known as "Tuning Boxes" , I've used a box in my car for the last two years (mines a Spider box) superb hike in performance, no difference in economy, noticable increase in smoke.

I love the performance, rolling roaded at 193bhp (1.9 150 engine), the smoke is a bit of an issue though!

im using a CD2 (red) box from DTUK. 150 standard 197bhp with box on i agree will chucka little harmless black smoke out, but thats nature or the beast with diesels . they worth every penny i promise your'll love it

I ran the CRD2 for a while - as cameraman said a 'hike in performance, no difference in economy' I upgraded to the BSR remap as I didn't really like the way 'boxes' get the extra power & mess up the computer readings but it horses for courses.

I'm running an ECO3 box. Not been RR yet, but there is a definate increase in performance.

Also, join AstraOwnersNetwork, (costs £10) and get an £80 discount on the tuning boxes.

Im running a CR2 tuning box from dieseltuner

first one stopped working due to a faulty lead, got the better model now (red and silver)

    massive hike in MPG
    massive hike in power
less smoke and a cleaner exhaust too

    A little bit of smoke

I remember it being a bit more than just a little bit of smoke

    Good rolling road results though
