Exclamation Warning! Radioactive Alton Towers bird cr@p!!!

Went to Alton Towers on Saturday and got directed to park next to a lighting pylon. Didn't think anything of it until I got back to the car to find it covered from bumper to bumper in bird cr@p.
There must have been over 30 bombs on the roof alone. Normally I would just get my Last Touch out of the boot and clean it off there and then, but with the amount of stuff all over the car there was no chance.
So Sunday morning I foamed, left to dwell for 5-10 mins and rinsed off with a pressure hose. Didnt have to get close as the cr@p just came off with ease. Round the back of the car on the bumper there was one Red bomb, again rinsed off from a good distance, but this time the paint came off with the bomb, right down to the white plastic bumper. Not happy at all, next time I'm taking an air rifle and a guard!
So beware guys, dont park next to lighting pylons at Alton Towers!

Golly mate.. thats not good at all, must have been eating some really toxic stuff, have had them mark my paint on cars in the past but nothing that bad.
Has that area been resprayed at any time, it looks a little shaded or is it original VX paintwork (may just be the pic), as bird droppings do seem to affect resprayed area's more I've noticed.
Looks like it will need respray now anyway... not good.

    Default Dratted birds

I think you need an air rifle, a large pan and some garlic for that bird.

Seriously, did you have any polish or wax on the car? Might have protected the paint a little.

Rushys into detailing so it will deffo be protected, but wax/sealant isn't going to stop much when it eats away at paint like this.

Going to try the Paints for you kit Matt from z22 has used. Its about £17 inc delivery, if it works it works and i've saved the price of a respray, if it doesn't i've only lost £17.

I always carry a bottle of QD and several microfibres for bird cr@p, but the amount on there was a p!ss take. Strangely though, there was one other red bomb on the roof and it hasn't done a thing. Seams the problem with different finishes/shades on bumpers is deeper routed?

Nasty! Happend to me once on the bonnet of an old Volvo I had, jet washed it and the laquer lifted like an old toupee!

Seems to be particularly bad at this time of year as they eat blackberries which ups the acid levels.
