Default CD70 NAVI No Sound - Squealing Noise

Hi, anyone any ideas what the fault is here?

I have a CD70 NAVI and yesterday it packed up and all you hear is a high pitched tone/squeal through the speakers when listening to either radio or cd, or using the phone. The Navigation does work however...

I've tried disabling bluetooth, removed the fuse etc, but fault still exists?

Is there a way to do a reset of the system?

If you run the upgrade CD it will do a full reset of the unit, and -may- cure the problem.

What's the update CD? I've only got the actual Sat Nav and the language CD? I've booked it in to the dealers Thur - its only 6 months old!

I believe the language CD is also known as the update CD. It's the disc you use to configure the CD70 the first time it's used.

Ah if its going back to the dealer then dont bother trying anything yourseld, they will most likely just replace it with a new unit anyway.
