Default 2.2 DTi SRi exhaust question ?

    Hi all,

My exhaust seems to be blowing at the front expansion/flexible joint in front of the cat.

Is the down pipe and cat one piece?

It looks like there is a join in front of the cat but can't be sure as not had car jacked up yet.

    Many thanks

    Jon

a specialist exhaust centre can change just the flexible section.. forget the fastfit operations as they will just want to change whole sections whereas a specialist will change just the broken flexible for you..

Thats mildly reassuring as I have not found a supply only any cheaper than £173 plus post. Then fitting cost you might as well go to Kwik Krap.

I will look into getting the flexi changed as the rest looks solid

Could you point me towards what sort of outfit might be able to help?

    Thanks ... Jon

Well good new and even better news

Good news... powerflow would weld in a stainless flexi for £67+vat.

Even better news.... Had the car up on a ramp today and exhaust not blowing .... rubber hangers were a bit loose so it was just rattling all along. Tightened rubbers.. job done
