just brought a vectra c 2005 sri cdti and it wont always start straight away just ignition lights come on but after a few turns it starts up and its perfect but then traction light comes on and after a while so does battery light all gauges drop and dont work but all comes back after a while

help much appreciated

Check if the battery is OK.
Had similar problems on mine.....check the ABS plug...unplug, clean terminals and replug....check if that does the trick...if not it is going to be something more "serious" I think....
My next guess that you have a faulty CIM.

cheers mate call me stupid but where will i find the abs plug and cim

The ABS is easy...well I wish I had a pic of it (image more that a 1000 words) behind the battery...near the brake fluid bottle. Its a black squared box with a huge plug on it. To disconnect pull out the red lock and pull the hole thing out.
Hpe that was clear

The cim is more a difficult thing and TBH I have never seen it...I think it is where the steering rack is.

the CIM is behind the steering wheel..it's a dealer only job to replace and re program
