Default 2.0 Di, slower than normal!

Hello, this is my first post and its asking for advise! I found the site last night an have been having a look through some of the posts, from what I gather my car is in 'limp home' mode.

I've had the car over a year, and its the work smoker. Its been great, and so cheap to run. Ever since I've had the car the orange ecu light would come on now and again and the car would loose power. I had a garage look at it and fit 4 new glow plugs and new air filter as they said that was the problem. Now the car cost me £1000 and the bill from the garage was £200 and it curred nothing, so decided I'd leave alone and use it (it was only happening once a month or less)

Now it has been like it for 3 days, I have no warning light on the dash while I'm driving.

I'd rather get rid than spend money taking it to a garage again, just wondered if anybody had simular problem so I knew where to look.

    Regards
    Tim

First thing I would check would be the boost pipes too and from the turbo.

    After that, anyone?

Is there a way to reset the ECU? I've tried disconnecting the battery but the car is still in limp home mode.

    Thanks
