    Default I'm effin furious!!

Went out to my car this morning which was parked outside the girlfriends house only to find some scumbag has dragged a key or some other sharp object along the rear quarter panel.

The scratch is about 9 inches long. Have tried scratch remover and its got it out in some places but Im still left with a 7inch scratch.

Any suggestions how to remove this? Is it worth filling with my touch up paint, then buffing with T-Cut / rubbing compound to flatten before polishing? Or should I take it to the local ChipsAway place?

Why do scumbags have to do this? They should just leave other peoples property alone.

even chips away wouldnt be able to 'fill' it properly if its too deep... mite me cheaper and better to respray the whole panel..

If it's down to the primer it's do-able but a difficult diy job to do with a touch-up pen.
Have you polished it back enough (ie if it hasn't gone down to the primer?)

Bad news btw. Had mine done a few years back.

It looks to be down to the primer as it is a white looking scratch on what was a nice shiny blue surface

If I had seen the person responsible they'd be walking around with no hands right now and I'd be taking myself in! Be worth it to wipe the smug look of the scumbags face!

Not a camera to hand unfortunately.

Going to touch it in myself and see what kinda hash I make of it. If I can build layers of paint up in the scratch I will get some rubbing compound to flatten it back to the original paint, then buff it up. It will have to do for now until I have the spare funds to take it to a bodyshop for respray. Chips a way want £80 and cant guarantee it will be gone. For £80 I will touch it up myself as I cant guanrantee it will be gone either. Put the £80 towards having it resprayed in a month or so.

If you can come over this afternoon i could try it, but have to pick my daughter up from school at 3pm. then i go to work at about 5 pm. should only take a few mins to do, if it'll come out that is.
