    Default MOT time again

It was that dreaded time of the year today........MOT

It was in at the local dealers as they have always done the tests.
It failed this time.....on both inner tie rods

Got them to do the work, as I wouldn't have time to do it

All done now for 12 months, the only other thing was an advisory that the brake pipes were showing slight signs of corrosion
All that is needed though is to put grease or similar onto them.

When you say Ian it failed on the tie rods? is that the same as inner track rod ends, the reason i ask is on my last visit to the mot station ,they had that down as an advisory, thinkin about gettin it done...?what were the symptoms..and ?How much to replace...sorry for all ????.

Symptons would be steering wandering, possible knocking when turning and steering wheel travel without turning the wheels! Had slight play in the inner track rods on my vec 'b' got Vauxhall to do mine as well

I'll have to see, might attempt them next time.........but that could be in another 134,000 miles Mark, as that's how long these have lasted

i had my MOT a few weeks ago, and the inner track rod joints were on an advisory, but the cars only done 55k in comparison to your 130k+. there must be lots of straight roads in leicestershire.
