can anyone tell me how to remove the air vent cover on top of the dash by the windscreen without breaking it. A coin must of fallen through and now annoys the *%$£* out of me.

Can you see the coin? Piece of stiff wire with some blu-tack on the end perhaps?

or maybe not such a good idea as I can see the next question being "how do I remove some blu-tack from the air vents" ;o)

    To remove the central vent.

Pull the trim off that goes from glove box to steering wheel (the trim is the 1 1/2" high strip, different coloured on different models, probably either grey or silver), byeasing it out of it's retaining clips in a downwards and towards movement.
The 2 retaining screws for the vents will now be exposed, remove these and pull the vent unit complete.
Refitting is reverse of removal, but the strip just clips back into place.

I think you're thinking of the face-level vents...the ones with the adjustable louvres, correct? I think the OP is referring to the vent across the top of the dash right in front of the windscreen, used only for demisting.

U can prise the vent off very easly, use a small flat bladed screw driver. Only the middle piece comes away where the centre speaker is
