Rattling Noise

Hey folks,

there is a rattling noise coming from the back end of my Vectra 2.2 elite.

Now it isnt there all the time but its quite loud. I thought it might have been a lose parcel shelf or the exhaust but its not. My dad reckons could be the springs or something on the back end but they were put on brand new before i bought the car.

Any ideas?

Some Vecs/Signums suffer from a tailgate that doesn't quite shut tightly enough until the catch is adjusted. Check that out. Alternatively, the springs can cause a knocking sound, but it's not very rattle-like in nature.

I had the same problem

& it turned out to be the tailgate lock but sounded like the suspension
