Completly up to you, is a few bhp worth losing the sound for?????
I've done the same chap !!! .... but the induction kit will go back on when i want the noise , but at the mo the quietness of the airbox is a welcomed break
as Sean has just said its only 1 or 2 bhp that separates the 2 , so it's really whether you want the sound or not !!!
i know what you mean i used to like the sound of the induction kit but now ive put the box back on it seems to tick over better!!
remember to disconnect you battery for 20 mins to reset the ecu chap !!!! if you didn't when you put the k&n on could be the reason your car didn't like it much !!!!
i thought that you didnt need to do that on these????
Did/Does it, other than noise, run any differently, i.e smoother/rougher, more/less MPG etc?
Battery disconnect for reset is a myth as far as i know, coming from the days of the old ecus on cavaliers and astras.
Personally I'm in favour of the panel filter for extra bhp and fuel economy.
Don't see the appeal of a noisy car to be honest.
you ALWAYS need to dis-connect your battery after modding the engine .... What have you got to loose by having a go ??.....other than radio stations ????
