    Default air box mod 3.2

    hi all ive decided to take the induction kit off and go back to the air box with the k&n panel filter along with the air box mod. the question i have are there any pictures or does anyone know how the airbox fits back onto the car??? tia

    there are some clips on the underneath. in th engibe you should see some mounting points, it slide on to thm. you may have to twist it slightly into position

    so there are no screws to screw in the base mate just on the lid to get at the filter?

    got it in does the air flow meter go directly in to the box or is there a piece of pipe in between?

    the MAFgoes into the lid of the box.. the pipe goes after the MAF and onto the intake..

    I have my 3.2 Siggy with the longer intake pipe (with the two "blind tunnel").

    Did you experience any difference with the shorter intake pipe (p/n 9177099) with the trumpet removed under the filter?

    Finally I 'installed' the shorter intake pipe.

    Results:
    a, this engine has a veeeery good sound, just it was hiding it before
    b, there is a small whistling starting from 5k rpm, not that much like a turbo, but nice
    c, the sound makes me revving the engine more (serious addiction)

    I do not think it resulted any noticable other change in the idle or in the performance.
