    Default Electrical problem please help

    after 5mins of starting engine all of a sudden dash lights,speedo,indicators,radio,wipers all go off but brake lights and small headlights come on if i stop and turn of ignition n start bk up everythings ok for another 5mins or so i guess it could be electrical but not sure could anyone please help thanks.

    Do you get any fault lights up when you restart?
    Now I need a turbo to keep up!

    Hi there , no theres no lights on display only low brake pad icon could this be anything to do with it beats me.

    Known problem......a bad electrical connection on the ABS plug or a faulty CIM.

    Thanks for your reply now i do remember the abs light coming on now and again dont want to sound a divy but whats cim thanks again.

    You love these threads Rob LOL.
    Unplug the ABS plug mate and give it a blast with some WD40 and see if that sorts it. DID on mine, thanks to robs advice If that does nothing its more than lightly the CIM which is a £400 dealer only fix.

    PS make sure you disconnect the neg on the battery first. HTH

    it's the module on the steering column....part of the main network....when it goes wrong it affects quite a few systems..
