Curious Opel Owner

I recently bought an OPEL Vectra 1.9CDTI 150PS. Can anyone tell me what the correct 0-100KM/H time is, on the OPEL sites it states 9.8s, while Vauxhall state 8.8, surely one of them is wrong? 1 second is too big a difference for the same engine in more or less the same car.

Anyway, to the question.... its very easy to explain.

A simple case of always read the small print

Take a close look at the tech sheets from both Opel and Vauxhall. The Opel specs are in KPH, showing 9.8 to 60. Vauxhalls tech spec is in MPH showing 8.8.

Its still the same time though, 8.8 seconds to 60mph or 9.8 secs to 60 kph.

EDIT < yes, i should have taken my own advice and read it properly.

The opel site lists 0-100kmh as 9.8 secs.
The vaux site lists 0-60MPH as 8.8 secs.

Still the same time.

100km/h is 62 mph. 1 second difference for 2mph seems a little long!

Still curious but at least I am in good company.

Checked the times for the automatic and it differs by the same margin on both sites (i.e. manual’s time+0.2s). There’s something fishy going on with OPEL and Vauxhall?
