    Default Help Needed Please

    I have a 2006 1.8 vectra c and it doesnt seem to be driving right. when i pull away from a junction the revs dropp of and it judders forcing me to up the revs and when you back of the accelerator mainly in 3rd it cangaroo,s badly, also for the last week it has smelled a bit like hot metal. coming from the wngine bay.

    Any ideas what the problem could be.???

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    If it's a 2006 then it's under warranty so get it back to the delers for them to sort out

    Be interesting to find out what the kangarooing is caused by - I thought that was pretty much reserved for cars with old-fashioned throttle cables, not the drive-by-wire that the Vec C has. Keep us updated?

    Im goin to call vx first thing in the morn, my thoughts are possibly the clutch. ill keep you posted.

    Hi mate, mine did the same ,went to vx dealers they took a look and said it was the fly wheel/clutch on going problem with the vvti models. got them replaced on friday big difference now i can pull away from lights etc without people thinking i cant drive,also i am able to drive slowly without high revs. hope this helps

    If it's really annoying and they cannot do anything with it, ask them to up the idle on tech 2 by 100 rpm, this should give you assistance in pulling away.

    dual mass fly wheel i think its somethin to do with the clutch but i could be wrong?? have you taken it to the dealers yet?

    its booked in for friday morning. gotta have the hand brake and front suspension looked at too.
