Default Finally got my new bike and its another Italian

Posted a thread asking you cyclist types about road bikes a while back, eventually got myself one.

    Pinarello FP1 2008.

    Weight is 1400g.

Carbon front forks and carbon rear stays help keep the weight right down, which is more than can be said for the rider....lol.

I blagged this on the Cyclescheme, where your employer pays up for the bike and you make a salary sacrifice ( read=fortnightly payment ) from your wages at source. You pay no tax on the bike, so I'm essentially getting it at a little over half price, think it works out that I pay about £526 ish back all in over the course of 12 months.

It was £975 originally, but it's in 2008 colours, so it was reduced to £800.

Chuffed to bits with it. I'm going to use it mainly to commute on, my journey to work is a 36 mile round trip, but it will save the Mille getting the miles racked up on it, plus it will increase my fitness and endurance, so it canny be bad, eh?.

    Looks very smart.

There are loads of people at our place who are getting bikes through that scheme. I'm picking one up for one of them next week as he could only get the one he wanted at a LBS close to me. Original price of his is £800 too so I guess he'll be paying the same. His is a MTB though.
