    Default Testing ESP

This might be a daft question but please indulge me. Is there any way I can test my ESP?

I know that one day I may to be very glad that I paid to have it fitted but at the same time I have this curiosity to see what happens when it intervenes.

Itís easy with ABS to just slam on and itís fairly self evident.

Haven't done it in my Signum, but I used to be able to feel it on my astra coupe when pressing on around a large round-a-bout
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

The only time I tried it was in the snow last year in Scotland. I was on a private road and deliberately pushed my luck but she just span out. I think it all just happened too quick (or slow as I wasnít going that fast)

I remember being able to feel the car braking the rear as it tried to step out, it used to get to a point where it would be foot flat down and it would hold the line with the esp kicking in.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

I have never felt it kick in. However, the car does feel like it will sick to the road with the GSD3's on.

I do go round a roundabout every day on the way to work (early doors) but it has always felt sure footed. Not a good place to test it though

Having said that, I also have IDS+ that could be sorting things out too.. ??

turn left or right on a wet crossing (in the rain) and floor it; the rear will try to break out and you'll feel that the pedal no longer responds ... and while the car is slowing down it feels as if something puts the car back on the right track... rather scary the first time: for a few seconds the car does not respond to whatever you do with the pedals and you see an orange light flicker in the dash but you don't have the time to make out which one

    Electronic Stability Programme.

Should stop the car from loosing control when pushed to the limit.

It works with the revs and ABS to keep the car in a straight line or help the driver keep control when you could loose control.
