1800 miles in my new veccie, and the coolant light comes on, open bonnet to find coolant tank bone dry, looks like its all leaked out of the connection.

Did they forget to tighten the hose or something?
it will be a spring clip, so the tension is preset..
it could be a split hose, or split tank, or misfitted clip...
take it to the dealer and have a rant..

Car is now stuck in the dealership, as they can't find where its leaking from, and they have given me the most pathetic hire car going, an agila !!
they should of been ablke to find it once the put a pressure kit on to the header tank
yep... dealers are asleep on this one......
Apparently they pressure tested it, but as its a saturday, the main workshop is shut.

a pressure test will show any leaks as the air pressure forces water out of any leak/split/crack....if there is a leak anywhere on the system the test will show it easily...it's foolproof and the results are instant
