    Default 225/45/17 tyre pressures?

Hi again can anyone tell me what pressure i should have my 225/45/17's set at? I can't find anything in the manual for this size the charts are all blank. They are on a 1.9 cdti (150 if it matters). I've set them at 33psi all round just now to see how i get on with them.

Isnt it the same as for the 215 / 50's?? I set mine at around 35 psi for maximum economy (a must in the days of £60 a tank!!)

It's down to preference I think - Vx recommend 32 psi in 17" tyres, which IMO is way too soft. But they tyres should be good for anything up to 45psi :ek:

I found 34psi gave the best combination of ride comfort, handling & economy.

I've not tried it but 38 all round 1 up sounds like fun handling even if the economy is good

I can't get over how different my car looks without the Snowflakes! I was considering treating myself to an Impreza for my 30th (which is in December) but decided against it but i am now considering it again.

I've been running 42psi in the fronts and 40psi in the rears on my GSi. Mmmmm. Maybe I need to experiment again.
