I've just bought £1200 of Florida Disney/Universal Tickets, I was going to use Travel City Direct (part of XL), as they were the cheapest last week. Luckily they had put the prices up by £10 a ticket so I ordered elsewhere (paid with my debit card), I've got the tickets now so a very happy (& lucky) man

I doubt they'll be the last, either.
It's all a bit strange as they were apparently still accepting web bookings last night. Anyone who paid by credit card is OK, as is anyone who bought through an agent.
If you used a debit card on the web, the picture's not quite so good.

I suppose it could be worse, they could have gone bust at the start of the season and lost out on all the income through the summer. Cynic, me, never.

Came back from Florida today. There were some very confused looking people walking around the airport in the US. What a nightmare for them. It's bad enough when your flights delayed a couple of hours.

Im supposed to go to Greece with them in 2 weeks, but booked through Olympic holidays who were using them as a charter flight.

From what i understand, we are going to be offered an alternative holiday/flight or a refund......fingers crossed.

i know a few people who work for xl and am very good friends with them.. the mod used to have a contract with them for a few years and we worked closely with them.. its a shame as i've just been chatting to one of the guys and he's gutted to say the least.. there was rumours going round apparently but it was all brushed off...and it happened in the middle of the month..so no wages either for them!
