millers sport 4 seems to be the most recommended, its my personal choice as for price £11-12 seems to be the norm.
what you have to remember is cost is reletive to your mileage if you do high motorrway mileage using premium fuels you dont really need additive,s ,then again if you just potter around town on tesco diesel then you will need it

I've always sworn by STP - they do petrol and diesel versions as well.

Personally, I don't think you need it routinely - no matter what driving you do.

Occasional use won't harm, but you may not even notice any difference.

Fuel systems are designed to use diesel, not a diesel / additive mix.

I use millers diesel sport 4 in my DTI. To be honest I don't see any improvement in performance but the diesel knock is reduced and it's smoother to drive. I'd say mileage is improved by 3-5%. My wife also uses it in her Peugeot HDi and it reduces smoke from hers. You can buy 5 litres on ebay for around 55 quid. Incidentally I recently filled up with Total Excellium and that smelled just like Millers.

I gave it a try for a while, but I don't think it's worth the bother.
Imo, all you need to do is just get on the motorway as often as you can for a nice long run.
