    Default VXR: owners' views?

I am investigating upgrading my GSi to a VXR. What do you VXR owners think of your cars? I have been very pleased with my GSI and love it to bits but it might be time to move on. Are the VXRs as good, reliable and strong as my GSi has proven to be?

Please share your views with me!

    Cheers.

Watching with interest, as in the same position. Never heard of a GSi go into limp mode, but heard of VXRs doing this. I just cant decide whether to get the vectra or wait for the insignia to be available 2nd hand, also thinking about a 540

i ve been thinking about it for ages now and time to time i still look at the vxr and think should i . But with the new one coming out dec 2009 i think ,i ll wait for that and then park the GSi in the garage as god knows what it ll be worth then and i aint giving it away after the work i put into it . Also to change to a vxr from GSi your looking at a bit off money , i was quoted £12500 plus my GSi in jan 2007 for one . But saying that the vxrs have come down a bit since then. saw a nice black one 56 plate 14000 miles for £10995 ...

Well I am looking around £14,500, part-ex'ing my GSi and there are a few around. The thing is that the GSi is wonderful and has been a proper workhorse and I worry about how worthy a replacement a VXR might be. I guess experience might have to be the teacher! I would not mind hanging onto the GSi longer but my options might reduce with time...

The problem is that the 3.2 V6 is just too reliable, or should it be that all engines should be like this?

Would the turbo not be covered by the VX warranty, though? The car I hope to be hearing about soon is only six months old.
