Hi Folks

Just a quick intro I've just bought the other half an '08 plate Black Veccy Elite 1.9 CDTI Auto as we're expecting a nipper to join us in a few months.

I guess I'd consider myself a complete petrolhead and we traded my wife's Seat Cupra R (great fun - zero comfort!) for the Vectra. Just trying to get used to the sheer size of the car - you could have a 2 week orienteering holiday in the boot!

So far loving it. I've never been a huge fan of extensive visual mods - tending to favour a remap and Milltek zorsts. That said - I've just had some Xenons fitted today (Hids4u Ultimate Kit) which has made a HUGE difference to night driving and have the smoked SRI rear lamps on order.

Am tempted by a PPC BSR remap to help iron out the flatspot when pulling off from a standing start (torque turned down in the lower RPM range to prevent wheel spin??)

I've got a day to day runabout Pug 306 hdi and a Porsche Boxster S for the weekend - so find it doubly hard to judge gaps jumping from one car to another

Rear lights will be upgraded to SRI Smoked as soon as they arrive! Car is immaculate as its only a couple of months old. Will be giving it the full Porter Cable treatment and some Swissol "Best of Show" wax (perfect for black cars for that fab "wet look" finish) as soon as the weather permits.
