Environmental issues aside, it's advisable to only use the fuels approved by the manufacturer.
As far as I know, to date no fuels marketed as "Biodiesel" (such as the one Morrisons offer) on the forecourts have been approved for use in current Vauxhall engines. However, I think Peugot recently approved "Harvest B30 Biodiesel" for their new HDI.
So, if you use a non-approval fuel and the engine goes pop because of it - your warranty could be void, leaving you to pay the thousands of pounds to get it fixed.
Vauxhall do approve biodiesel but only in the movano and vivaro vans.

Yeah but they use the engine thats in that horrid 4X4 thing they also make.

your entitled to your opinion as our we and in my opinion and many others on here it mucks up your engine!!
surely we cant all be wrong can we?
Let's get this straight - bio diesel is not used veg oil. You have probably been offered a half converted version of the latter - the FAME ester.
Biodiesel comes in many forms and I am so bored with this subject I would suggest you have a search on this forum, read up, make your own judgement and start saving for the re-build.
Anyone who thinks that "bio fuels" (not the used chip fat rubbish) are environmentally friendly should think again. even at the currently mandated 2.5% (not 5%) it sucks so much food production out of the system that third world countries are starving and you are paying a lot more for your food. Don't believe me? get on the internerd and read all about it from a properly informed source.
My last post on this subject
