Default Why I have been shredding my seatbelt

I have just figured out why I have been shredding my seatbelt. Was wearing my waterproof jacket (opened) and noticed that the ruff side of the Velcro fastener was in contact with the seatbelt.

Note to self, put jacket in back in future

I de-fur’d it before the MOT (cigarette lighter along the edge) and it went through OK. But I know it’s not 100% and will probably change it – own stupid fault

To be honest I'd be more worried about the belt doing it's job if needed than getting a pass for the sake of it! Surely the cost of a new belt if needed is worth it if there's a chance it could save your life one day?
