Signum newbie saying hello and thanks.

Hi Fellas,

Collected my 53 plate Signum Elite 2.0t last week and thanks to you all for the info I've collected from this site before I took the plunge. I've been a loyal customer to Vauxhall down the years Viva's, Astra’s, Cavalier’s, Vectra’s and now the Signum. In a moment of weakness I once succumbed to the dark side with a Ford Sierra but it was short lived affair and I humbly beg your forgiveness. It’s a Network Q car so hopefully will have some trouble free motoring over the next 12 months. So far the only prob has been a squeaky fanbelt which I’m sure is caused by all that engine dressing spray the dealer (Nidd Vale in Harrogate) liberally applied. I do find the ride a bit soft though, is this the norm for the Signum? Or is it something I should be having looked at before the 30 day exchange guarantee expires?

welcome from another signum elite driver mate my car has been lowered on cobra sport springs and although its still on standard shocks its much better and less wallowy

Not sure how elite should feel like I have a design which I think has different suspension. Sorry no help but sure someone will tell you.

Replace the springs Eibach or similar, maybe even springs and dampers from a design if your worried about non vx parts.

So Big Sig, are the springs and dampers from a Design stiffer then the Elite then?
