    Default Best Injector Cleaner

Can anyone suggest a decent injector/fuel line cleaner for a 2.2 Direct?

I've heard guys talking about STP and just wondered if it's worthwhile.

I'm not looking for any increased performance just wanting to keep the engine tip-top

It's an 04 and only done 21k - would it be worth it?

    Cheers guys and guyettes

TBH, your more likely to see results in cleaning your TB mate as they tend to get full of gunk from the cam breather on the 2.2.

TB? Sorry mate, not sure of the abbreviation - not very technically minded I'm afraid....

    What would you suggest?

Throttle body mate. If you look at your intake pipe after the filter it goes into your TB. Half way along the pipe is a little one that comes from the cam/rocker cover. Oil vapor is sucked from the engine and is burnt off in the combustion cycle. Down side is the TB gets covered in loads of poo and can lead to lumpy idle. Its not going to harm anything but keeping it clean should help in smooth running.

STP is excellent stuff - use the right one (different bottles for diesel and petrol engines) and also use the £15 all-in-one cleaner...they do cheaper types that only perform one function rather than clean everything it comes in contact with.
