    Default Result at last.

Some of you may recall I had various issues with the vectra, and I won't go over all of it again, but the major grip with me was the fact that my stealer would not fix my fog lamp that had been full of condensation since month one.

After badgering the stealers then the same to Vauxhall "customer care less" I received an e-mail saying they will replace the fog lamp . Wait for it -they will also replace the whole gear stick/knob (as the knob fell off as well) another result. 21/2 years or so to get them to do some thing about a manufacturing defect. Is that a record?

BUT - I am now getting a chattering from the front bushes? (I think thats what it is) any ideas guys? the Question is: is this fixable under the 3rd year warranty as I have 3 months left on it??

Thanks in advance guys and appreciate some feed back from yous on this problem I have.

If it's bushes it'll depend on your mileage and how the $tealer is feeling. The warranty is quite vague about what constitutes 'fair wear and tear taking into account mileage and driving style'. If you're on reasonable terms try asking the workshop whether this is a common wear item or unusual.

Hi boba, I have challenged the stealers earlier today and they said - its not covered. Surprised I was not. They said it is classed as a wear and tear item.

They said they would repair the two bushes for £115 + vat. Q IS THAT A GOOD PRICE FOR THIS??

for two £1 antiroll bar bushes to be fitted...erm..NO....it's under an hour to do it, so thats £175+ an hour labour rate..

if it squeltches over speed bumps it's the bushes.. if it rattle on poor road surfaces it's the antiroll bar drop links.,...

It sort off rattles over the ruts and joins, so I take it its the Drop link bushes. Is 40k normal life span for these? Seems to be one thing after another!!
