    Default Pressure washer query

I have been thinking of getting a pressure washer for a while. I have been told in the past that the washers require a good head of water to work. Is this true?

My problem is that the water pressure where I live is **** even though I'm nearly at sea level. Even the bathroom shower requires a pump.

I thought the pressure washer acts as a pump anyway!. Maybe ring up karcher or whoever makes the one you want to buy and ask them for advice

The way most of the modern hobby type pressure washers work is by direct feed to the pump, so the pump will actually pull the water through the hose at the required rate. Only really the bigger industrial types that use a header tank now, good water pressure is required for these.

    Hi Brocks,

If you're after a Karcher drop Lee Cooper a line at: - coop69lee@hotmail.com

He supplies at really good prices.

    Bryan

And they work via a pump wich switches off when you release the trigger

    Thanks y'all

Found THIS on a pressure washer site... It seams that the supply pressure does matter. I will have to look into this further.
