Default Question about Angel Eye headlights, can u use whiter bulbs??

    Hi all,

I am thinking about getting some Angel eye Headlights.

I have seen pictures of them on the forum and the ring/eye lights look a bit yellow.

    1.Do they use LEDs?
2.Do they use standard side light bulbs which mean they can be changed for whiter light ones?

    thanks

Have you seen the thread by Hans Vledder ?

"The rings are lit by 4 little T5 lamps for each ring, 8 per unit, prefitted (4 spare T5's come with the units). I need to find a few T5's that have whiter light than these."

So they are not LED's then? They are the standard side light bulbs. I have some bright white T5 bulbs already fitted to my car so these should fit? Just need 6 more!

I think the side lights are T10 and yes it would be 8 per side so would need 14 more)

So are the T5's that are fitted to the angel eyes LED or normal bulbs?
I assume because of the yellow light they are standard bulbs.

    anyone?

Right after reading through Hans post it seems that the bulbs are normal ones. The issue seems to be that replacement LEDs are too long so will not fit. I would assume as well that if u put LED's in the "bulb out" indicator in the dash will come on or is there still a standard indicator bulb fitted?

    Default

the 'bulb out' will still light even if the indicator is still a normal bulb.... the unit will still 'fault' as it will notice the LEDs in the headlamp unit and flag it as a faulty headlamp..
