just bought new rear pads, they have a paper backing which has sticky/grease stuff under it, ques is do I remove this paper to let the sticky stuff touch ie does it mean I dont have to use coppa grease/copper ease on the pads regards Dave

it's an anti squeal compound, but even so, still put copper grease on the 'ears' of the pads where they touch the pad rest as the anti squeal will only be on the main 'backs' where it touches the piston and the caliper..
if it looks as thou it should peel off, then remove it, if not,leave it on it'll do no harm
