    confused I need help, please

Hi to all of you out there

I am looking for a second vectra and like the look of a 1999 Vauxhall Vectra GSI 2.5L, can anyone help me is that a cam belt or chain?
As i have send a 2000 Vectra SRI 2.2L and was told it was chain driven is this true?
And finally is there any problems i need to look out for?

    Many thanks Pomstu

the 2.2 is a chain driven engine.. the 2.5V6 is a belt

change the 2.5 belt every 60,000 miles max...and put a waterpump on at the same time..

apart from the usual veccy B rear suspension knock problems from the bushes, as long as the oil is clean and not dirty, the engine doesn't smoke, leak or is covered in oil, there is a good service history of servicing every 10,000 miles. Also check for signs of the oil cooler failing.. look for mayonaise in the header tank and in the oil filler cap..

to be fair to them, the X25XE and X26XE's are bombproof engines, and will clock up 250,000 miles if they are serviced well..

expect to get mid 20's MPG out of a 2.5V6

    to the site matey..
