    Question Checklist

Well on saturday, weather permitting i'm going to attemp removal of my facelift bumper
I have got some signum chrome fog surrounds, and an irmscher grill to fit.
My main question is i need a list of all the thing i need to help the job go smoothly.
Also any tips would be great, i have read the how 2 which is very good, just looking for any further info so I can get the job done.
I have factory fit parking sensors on my front bumper, do they have one connection or each one have a wire goto it?
As you can tell im not looking forward to it, but sure im more than up to the task

You'll need a T20 bit to undo the screws in the arch and around the grille, and preferably a pair of long nosed pliers to remove the 4 plastic rivets underneath.

There's just one plug for the parking sensors, near the second sensor from the passenger side, and be careful not to drop the bumper straight on the floor when it's unscrewed as the wires to the fog lights are quite short.

Thanks for telling where to look for the sensor wire, that will save me a bit of worry lol. Looks like i can disconnect the wires to the fog from underneath before i even move the bumper.

Can i attach the irmscher grill to the mounting plate before you fit to the bumper , or do you need to fit mounting plate on bumper then clip grill to all of it.

One thing to check, as Matt found out at Billing, is there a tube of sealant / adhesive supplied with the grill?

the tube of adhesive was only ever a 'panic' bodge to get Matt home Ian..

the correct fittings are tiny plate push on clips..

the grille needs to be fully fitted to the bumper before the bumper is fitted to the car.. you need access to drill two holes from the back for the push in rivets..

the grille MUST NOT be attached to the mounting plate before the M/Plate is attached to the bumper.. they come on to the bumper from two different sides....

Hello all got home from work and had bumper off in about 20 mins that was the easy bit!!!
Removing the old grill was a complete pain, anyway got it all off.
Fitted new mounting plate, and then offered up and fitted grill.
My question is the bottom of the grill just does not seem to fit flush with the painted bumper in the middle, the side and top are great! just the middle which if you press the bumper hard from behind it sits nice.
I drilled and put the plastic rivets in hoping it would hold it flush, but they are not really that good.
    Any advice!!!
I'm thinking about bonding it and clamping it in place till the bonding sets.
Have i done something wrong or is the bottom always a pain.
On a happier note the signum fog surround have gone on well.
Will up some pics soon. The bumper is in my house tonight as it got to dark to refit and i want to get the grill nice before it all goes back on.
