Default Speed rating on my tyres...

Does any clever clogs know the speed rating on the tyres on my car?

    Eagle NCT 5 - 215/50/R17

Felt a bit too shaky today at very high speed. Don't get the chance for this sort of speed often but I'd like to know they won't shread if I do get the chance.

There should be a W, Y or Z after your 17. Have a look, it may be a W, which is rated to 168 mph.

shaking at high speed it generally down to wheel balancing... i'd whip it in to your local tyre place and get them to re-balance the 4 wheels...

The 3.2 V6 is rated with a top speed of approx 247km/h-154mp/h. I won't ever do that speed unless I take the car up to the Northern Territory. The quickest I can go here in NSW, legally, is 110km/h-68.7mp/h. Although, a quick blat at 160km/h has been achieved, so I should have no probs with the tyres being NCT5's.

As has been mentioned if you have some high speed shake get the tyre balances etc checked.
